Residential projects tend to differ greatly in terms of scope due to the bespoke end-user nature of the properties, and we have become accustomed to adapting to the individual complexities that each project brings. Ranging from smaller apartment refurbishments, larger home extensions and refurbishments often involving complex structural reconfigurations and formation of new basements, through to large new-build highly designed houses with associated landscaping, our experience gives us an insight into the factors that make for a successful project delivery.
Upper Brook Street, Mayfair
MPA were appointed as Quantity Surveyor for the conversion of an entire floor of a prestigious Mayfair mansion block to provide a single luxury dwelling. The development was undertaken to an exceedingly high standard of finish and detailing, and included superior services installations such as enhanced air filtration to the air conditioning system, ultra-high pressure domestic water pipework and a complex BMS control system.

Mount Row, Mayfair
This six storey mixed use development comprising high end residential accommodation with commercial use at ground floor level in Mayfair, London included bespoke bronzed sheet curtain walling to the façade and required the coordination and integration of complex fire safety installations. MPA were appointed as Project Coordinator and Contract Administrator for the second phase following completion of the structural frame.

Contour House, Peak District
MPA acted as Quantity Surveyor and Employer’s Representative on this stunning new build private residence overlooking a valley in the Peak District. The minimalist eco designed house, which comprises four discretely curved interlinked buildings following the shallow contour of the hillside, is clad with locally quarried stone and includes photovoltaic slates to the roof, ground source heat recovery and extensive insulation to maximise energy efficiency. Complete with an enclosed swimming pool, basement media complex, gym and games room, the house blends effortlessly into the surrounding landscape.
