About us
MPA was established as a practice in 1984 and has been operating as MPA (Construction Consultants) Limited since 2000. We are a proactive consultancy offering a Director-led service tailored to respond to the individual needs of our clients.
The Practice has gained a reputation for providing effective and proactive construction consultancy advice. Our core business is for end-user clients, most notably in the retail and hospitality sectors but also for commercial clients and on high-end private residential schemes, with services ranging from traditional quantity surveying and cost management to composite roles including project coordination and contract administration.
Collaborating with leading design consultants, and often for high profile and distinguished clients, we are dedicated to delivering reliable expertise at the highest level and strive to provide a ‘hands on’ approach to maximise our involvement in achieving our clients’ aspirations and goals.

Paul Short
Paul joined MPA at the beginning of 1993, became a Director in 2000 and has been in the role of Managing Director since 2008.
In addition to managing the Practice, Paul remains active mainly in the commercial, residential and community sectors and is known for his expertise in procurement and contract arrangements.

Marc Moro
Marc joined MPA in 1997 and became a Director at the beginning of 2008.
Marc operates across the retail, hospitality, commercial and residential sectors, with a wealth of experience gained from working with top luxury brands and prominent restauranteurs.

Nick Smith
Nick joined MPA in 1997 and became a Director at the beginning of 2008.
Nick is involved predominately in the retail and hospitality sectors, both in the UK and Europe, bringing experience gained from working with top luxury brands, high-end department stores, independent retailers and high street brands.

Stacey Buttle-Phillips
Stacey joined MPA at the beginning of 2005 and was promoted to Office Manager in 2016.
Stacey is responsible for everything behind the scenes, making sure we are as efficient as possible and ensuring the smooth running of the office.
